Ultrasound Beauty Tools?
All ultrasound handheld massagers need a liquid medium between the head of the
device and the skin. For toning, anti-pigmentation, and product penetration, ultrasound should be used in conjunction with serums or creams to maximize their effect.
Ultrasound (ultrasonic) its high-frequency sound waves, between 800,000 Hz and 2,000,000 Hz. This cannot be heard by humans. Ultrasonic utilizes sonic vibrations; it works one million times per second.
At very high-speed, low-frequency sound waves radiate invisible micro vibrations deep within cells, stimulating the skin’s natural repair mechanisms in distinct ways. 1 MHz is used for the body, 2 and 3 MHz devices can be used on the face as well as the body. Lower frequencies penetrate deeply.
As the ultrasound waves pass from the treatment head into the skin, they cause the vibration of the surrounding tissues, particularly those that contain collagen.
The vibration leads to the production of heat within the tissue. With a handheld home device, this heat does not become very intense. The temperature rise in the surrounding tissue increases oxygen to the cells and aids in the removal of waste.
Studies have demonstrated enhanced penetration of vitamin c serum used for hyperpigmentation. It seems to do this by a process called cavitation – the
ultrasound creates bubbles that implode to produce millions of microscopic jets of liquid.
